As you might know we’ve been producing AIMD in our spare time and absolutely loved doing so. However the reality learns that we can’t keep up with it and the time has come to take this to the next level. Altogether we think we have created a good base to do so but obviously we’re dying for feedback. We’ve produced this 14 minutes resume of the AIMD project which will be used in our attempt to convince potential investors/co-producers. We would like to ask you to have a look at it and let us know if it works for you. It is the pre-final edit which we will only finalize after hearing your so valued opinion.
We hope you enjoy it …. and please don’t forget to leave your comment! There is an English and Spanish version!
Thanks

A touching short movie about dogs and cats who haven’t been that lucky. Thousands of volunteers takes care of them in centers spread all over Spain. These images were shot in AAA – Marbella. Their hard work allows us the possibility to adopt.
Great work people ! aaahelps.com.
Needs mentioning that centers like “AAA” live from donations. The local government only takes care of the electricity bill; luckily dogs don’t consume that much …. !
Shameful if you ask me.
The movie was shot on a Canon 5D MarkII and edited in Final Cut Studio. “Blondy” is my dog and she once lived on the street ….

If you have a Canon DSLR you definitely need to have a look at the Can-Do International Film Festival and Competition which is open to filmmakers worldwide. Deadline is the 20th of march and there are plenty of different categories. But…..
All footage must be shot using ONLY the Canon EOS HD enabled DSLRs as there are right now: EOS 1D Mk IV, EOS 5D Mk II, EOS 7D, EOS Rebel T1i. So plenty of choice. Eventually you can use whatever lens you want to possess but it has to be attached to one of these bodies.
I think we will try to create something that is good enough to submit. We´ve had already some nice ideas but we have quite some other projects to handle so let´s see if we manage in the end.
This is a really clever and nicely executed self promotion from Hamburgs based advertising agency LLR (Lukas, Lindemann Rosinski). Unfortunately it´s is in german and probably difficult to understand for some of you.
Canon is about to release it´s EOS E1 video plug-in for Apple’s Final Cut Pro. This new plug-in allows simple and easy transfer of video content from Canon’s EOS DSLR cameras directly into Final Cut Pro.
The EOS E1 video plug-in takes advantage of Final Cut Pro’s powerful Log and Transfer feature, which allows users to select and mark the video directly while it is still on the camera, add custom metadata and ingest the clips in the background so the editing can begin immediately.
Once available, the EOS E1 video plug-in is a free download available at http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/finalcutstudio/. The plug-in is compatible with Final Cut Pro 6 or higher and currently supports Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EOS 7D and EOS 1D Mark IV cameras.
Canon EOS-5D Mark II HD exposure test (iso500-6400) part 3 from Nelson Cragg on Vimeo.
Very interesting ISO test-run with 3 different Canon Cameras (1D, 7D and 5D). Done in downtown L.A. at night it reveals the low light capabilities of these Canon DSLR´s in an impressive way.
If you do not know zooppa.com yet you should pay a visit. They have nice competitions with interesting brands and objectives involved.
Actually our submissions are a pretty good example of what can be done with already existing footage from a client who on top has a rather limited budget.
And yes, the quality of the master footage is of importance for the final result and the channels which can be targeted.
We submitted these two different version.

So we have started our own blog now, the quanvision blog. But what are we going to contribute to it?
Well, let´s wait and see. Of course we have to let it develop but in general we want to reflect interesting news from our industry , extraordinary work and projects from other artists and last but not least, our own quanvision stuff, of course ;-)
So stay tuned and enjoy.
